This painting of this well love pub was created just before ‘Lockdown’. As I applied paint to the canvas, I would imagine standing at the bar having a pint of 80/- , enjoying the atmosphere and admiring the mix of eclectic paintings and drawings. The richness of the paintwork of its exterior and the contrast of the dressed stone of the tenement with the texture of the stonework in the lane makes for an interesting image.
