It was early spring and the City Centre trees were in full bloom. This wonderful bronze sculpture of the legendary dragon with its tail wrapped around a lamppost looked imposing as it crouched on the paving stones. I tried to paint the blossom in a free and quick way giving the effect of impressionism.
