The first of three versions of “The Way Home”. The perspective of the bridge as it heads homewards from Fife to Dundee inspired the title of this painting. I was experimenting with the colour of the bridge and the rose coloured, flushed aspects of the structure coupled with the bright azure sky sharpens this canvas with interesting contrasts.
