I was out for a walk with my wife along the esplanade on a bright sunny spring evening, heading towards the V&A. I was entranced by Captain Scott’s ship and the strong sunshine playing on the Discovery’s funnel. I loved the wires and ropes heading off in all directions and the strong abstract feel of the V&A in the background. I think the resulting painting has a 1930’s shipping poster look about it!
