This painting is one of several on the theme of mists/haar and the rail bridge. The bridge disappearing into the sea mist halfway across the River Tay gives the painting an ethereal quality and I particularly like the colour palette in this version. Kathryn Rattray, a well-known photographer in Dundee kindly allowed me permission to use a photograph of hers as a basis for this painting.
